So, Glenn and I have been working diligently on creating a great website for his photography. We finally published it! Check it out! =]

Looking forward to 2011
The idea for this post was given to me by the lovely mrs Rachel Lisk! There is soo much to look forward to this spring and summer, and thinking about it makes this cold, white winter a little more bearable!
»Geocaching!
»Finishing my first semester of my masters program!
»Finally getting to see a performance of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team in DC!
»Hoping that DJ and Miriam will put us up and join us for the previous event, and spend lots of time with them in NoVA!
»Frolicking barefoot outside
»BBQs and Bonfires!
»Sleeping with just the screen door shut
»Swimming like a fish, anywhere I can.
»Watching fireflies blink about in the night
»Getting to a beach!!
»And lastly, but definitely not leastly (I know that's not a word), celebrating my first anniversary with my husband!! We have thrown around some ideas for what we want to do to celebrate, but haven't made a decision yet.
I have been trying to keep warm and occupied, and these are a few things that have been keeping me sane!
Baking cupcakes with my sister in law, Racheal. We are going to start a cupcake baking business in Las Vegas! :)
Spending lots of time with my favorite people! And favorite animals!
Amanda slept over twice last week due to Snowdays! We had so much fun cuddling, watching the office, and playing in the snow!
And then last weekend we stayed over at The Calls, which was fun! Their kitty cats were wayyyy lovable, that's Carlos, and he is ridiculously adorable.
Shane and Charlotte came over for a delish dinner made by Glenn on Friday night! Wish we could have spent more time hanging out and chatting, but of course, we had to go to bed early, work in the morning.
I've also been spending time with Zoƫ, she is such a good little girl. We have lots of fun together!
Well that's all I have for now! Maybe I'll think of some more things for my "looking forward to" list and add them on as new posts as I think of them!

And the adventure continues!!
Well the first blog post got cut short because
I was trying to use my iPhone to do it, and it wasn't behaving.
Onward!
Our little NYE adventure was fabulous.
There was some great sightseeing on the metro...
We found a ridiculously long escalator that
I refused to ride to find the bathroom... But Glenn took the ten minute ride to the top by himself and left me standing at the bottom, getting vertigo from looking up.
DJ & Miriam eventually came along and of course, brother HAAADD to go up the big escalator too.
Boys will be boys!
But, girls will be girls too ;-)
The Rosslyn stop has great photographing light, and was basically like a hair models dream, like standing in a wind tunnel! So we took advantage and did a mini photoshoot... with my cell phone... Okay, so they didn't come out as planned, but it was fun nonetheless.
And then we saw someone make the decision to not get off the escalator, ever. For the entire 5 or so minutes that we were standing there, they just sat at the bottom of the escalator.
So, moving along on the adventure... we did eventually make it to Old Town Alexandria, and Kings St. was beautiful, all lit up with X-mas lights! I soo wish that we had more time to explore! We ate at a place called Hard Times Cafe, and... well I wasn't much a fan. My boneless wings tasted... strange. And there was WAYYY too much chili on the nachos.
After dinner, we scooted down to George Washington National Masonic Memorial for their NYE celebration. We heard some terrible a capella singers, and waited for the countdown! The first time in three years that Glenn and I actually celebrated New Years! It was fabulous to be up past 7:30 =] And to ring in the New Year with people that we love and miss so much!
We tiredly caught the metro back to E. Falls Church with not AS much excitement. I tried to join forsquare without any service on my phone. Looks like I'm still outta that loop.

Our pups welcomed us and we ended the night on the couch with the fire in the fireplace roaring. Soo cozy!
We spent the next day and a half just hanging out and enjoying each others company. I have no clue how DJ & Miriam can make the trip home every month, it's such a longgg ride! Especially with the NJ traffic or the scary backwoods of the PA mountains!
Ok, not so scary in the daytime, but we had to get gas at night and it took us 13 miles off the main road to find a gas station. ANNDDD they've got crazy medians where there shouldn't be. ANDDDDD stop lines don't exist, even is confusing intersections. AnnnDDDdd a Cracker Barrel every two miles, even in the middle of nowhere.

We had a great time, Glenn and I are both soo thankful for the time we got to spend in NoVA & grateful for brother & mim's hospitality.
Ready for whatever other adventures 2011 decides to bring! =]

Blogging in the New Year
Happy 2011!
For months now, I have been considering starting a blog, to document life, to take inventory of little adventures, or to just ramble on about the things that cross my mind while driving to work. So by the influence of Charlotte's amazing, inspiring list of New Year's Resolutions, here I (finally) am! Blog created, mission accomplished.
Okay, so I might have to do more than that to feel accomplished in 2011, but unlike Charlotte, I didn't take Mr. Tyrrell's tips for successful goal-making, thus no list of resolutions.
Glenn and I were unexpectedly given some time off from Fedex, so we seized the opportunity to take a road trip.
We decided on a whim to spend NYE with DJ and Miriam in NoVA. What a fabulous little adventure! Miriam so graciously gave me a makeover so I could go into 2011 as a brunette! :)
